Comments:
Finally a bit of tropo during a contest. S9+ signals from K1HC and K1DY in
Maine to open the event. The opening seemed mostly to the northeast from here
in NJ and faded somewhat as the evening went on. Activity seemed good but
SSB/CW went dead by 9:30 or so and went to mostly FT8. I'm thinking we need to
allow stations to be reworked on the different modes for credit to balance
things out. Otherwise we seem to be trending to a predominantly FT8 event in
all the VHF+ contests. Just my $0.02.
