Comments:
We had good propagation on 6 meters for a September contest. Some weak sporadic
E and good N-S meteors bumped up my multiplier total on that band. The Arizona
portable and rover crews were out despite the near record heat and did a great
job activating some uncommon grids. AA4Q, K7EME and W7MRF headed north to the
cooler altitudes to run multi-band portable operations while KJ7JC, N7DSX and
N7GP braved the desert heat and roved through 4 or 5 "local" grids.
My sincere thanks to those gentlemen and to all of the other Arizona VHF
operators who made this past weekend exciting.
