Comments:
Operating from our cabin in Lake Tahoe. A part-time effort using a dipole 100'
in the pine trees. Smoke from the fires flooded the Tahoe basin with an Air
Quality Index over 500. Glad there was a contest to keep me occupied while we
stayed indoors.
Amusing moment... XYL came in to ask a question during my one and only run on
40M. We all know how distracting that can be, especially while trying to hold a
run freq. with 100W and a dipole. Well... the SSB button is right below my DVK
CQ button. During the in-shack QRM I must have hit the wrong button. I CQ'd a
good 5 minutes with no takers and I was doing 2-3/minute before the
interruption. Finally get a call and the guy asks me...Are you on USB LOL DOH!
Thanks for the Q's
Jim
