Comments:
This was my first effort in my new house, with limited antennas and bands. I
call this the "vent pipe" contest. I have up a four element quad for 2
meters, and loop for six meters. Both are about 20 feet on my two roof vent
pipes. Not ideal, but they work. On 2 meters, I worked FM 14 > 500 miles
away, and on 6 meters, worked Europe. All in not bad, under 200 watts for each
band. I plan on mounting a roof top tower for the antennas, vs. a tower due to
cost and effort. I should have something up within the year, may even try for
something over the summer.
