Comments:
The first four hours of daylight on 15 and 20 were dismal. I never could get
any rate and few answered my CQs. During the weekly CWTs I struggle on 20, but
it is very good during band closings to Europe with stations frequently
commenting that I am loud. The antenna is 3 el at 84 feet, obviously too high
for USA. I was not able to get an antenna crew this summer to side mount an
antenna up about 40 feet and am suffering now.
40 was pretty good, as I have seen in CWTs. 80 and 160 were very good, and it
was surprising how many western stations came through before their sunset. As I
have known, SO2R is needed for this contest, and I am way behind in implementing
this. A second tower is needed. My 80 meter 4 square is still under
construction, and I don't expect to get much done with this cold weather.
No need to do this to do this contest again until there are improvements to make
it more fun.
