Operated with the Mad River Radio Club callsign, K8MAD, and name 'Dave' to
recognize the passing of K8CC. Dave was one of the originators of the NAQP.

I enjoyed one of the best 80m performances from this station in memory -
especially considering the 80m antenna is only a Butternut HF-2V. As receivers
get better and better, I suspect that ops on the other side are better able to
discern low signals, and for that, I'm grateful.
