Checked the setup a couple days before contest and the top antenna was not good.
Took down the coax and balun. The coax checked good and the balun did not.
Re-soldered all the connections in the balun and it checked good. As Rosanne
Rosanna Danna would say, It's always something...
IC-7610, Flex amplifier (1300w) and two 20 foot boom tribanders - one fixed
North at 35 feet and the other rotatable at 60 feet.
Europe did not open well from here. Worked a few but they were not strong. 67
sections and 30 countries.
Missed a few good hours and spent way too much time in the bad hours but a good
effort.
73 and Happy Holidays to all. Back to 160m for Stew Perry contest in a couple
weeks.
