Comments:
Initial goal was 500 Q's. Once I reached that, I decided to try for 100,000
points. As I neared the last couple QSO's, I got called by VY1KX. I decided to
look at my mults and realized I had all sections/provinces except KH6 and KL7.
So I went looking...I worked two KL7's, then finally, a KH7...in Arizona!!!! So
I looked harder at ALL the signals I ran across on 20 and heard
KH6TU...finally!
Got 'em all! Makes for a successful sweep, the icing on the cake! I haven't done
that in years.
Thanks to all who hung in there with me, eke-ing complete QSO's despite QSB and
QRM.
Final note: too many key clicks out there...it DOES NOT show up on your
frequency, you have to look past your sidebands! Please ask a friend to check
your signal if you're in doubt (or have a Yaesu rig!!!) Another cause, amp
timing from inception of key down to amp keying...allow at least 8
milliseconds!
Oh, great to hear all those QRP stations...MOST were loud! Hooray, sun spots are
back!
73, Bert N4CW
