Comments:
Busy weekend here. Golf date with two of my boys Saturday, and then Sunday
afternoon was golf club shopping at the PGA Golf store in Vernon Hills!
Got on for a bit Saturday morning before golf and hit 15 right away, and decided
to stay with 15 for the day time hours I would be able to operate. I was
receiving signals from EU strong Saturday morning, but was struggling to be heard
on the other end. Sunday morning conditions to EU were not as good and struggled
with a lot of Qs. Tried calling on 4 separate 15 minute segments Sunday, and
came up with a big fat ZERO Q for my troubles! It was really humbling when WE9V
came along and called once for a CT I had called half a dozen times without
success, and Chad moved along with the Q after one call.
Lots of EA and I all up and down 15. Nice openings to SA and Caribbean both late
afternoons.
Next months CQWWDX CW will be a more serious effort. It's a bit easier for LP CW
to be heard than an SSB signal any day!
