Comments:
Mostly just working Canadians, plus a few friends I called and a few other USA
who called in during my limited time CQing. I find working people outside the
target area of an area-specific contest a bit like kissing your sister - same
motions, but just not the same. Plus working VEs was very easy - no exchange
needed to be copied.
Northern Ohio is a bit tough in this contest, as we're outside the skip zone to
most of Ontario on the higher bands, and in this case on 40 as well. You can't
make up for that on VHF or 80/160. I can usually work a few VEs on six in a VHF
contest, but here you can't move them if you can't work them first. Thanks to
VE3DZ for QSYing for my one 10 meter QSO.
Happy holidays to all in both countries!
