Comments:
Thanks to Kam for allowing me to invade the TI7W station for this contest. It
was a nice change from my usual operations in ZF considering that I mostly just
had to show up and operate and not worry about setting up the station from
scratch. There were no station issues during the contest so it was up to me to
just sit there and run guys.
10m was a major disappointment. Luckily I had a flex radio monitoring 10m the
entire contest and I caught the short opening we did have after seeing a few
signals on the scope. 15m was great on Saturday, but was very late to open on
Sunday which was disappointing. Before arriving I was told that this QTH is
"magic" on 40m, and I can confirm this to be true!
Congrats to all the other big scores out there, especially to 8P5A and V47T for
keeping the SOAB race interesting.
