So somewhere I have missed the reorganization of the RTTY band plan or perhaps I
should say the elimination of it. Certainly was surprising to be in the 14080 -
14095 range and hear all the other digital signals. I was so surprised that I
went and checked the rules to see if other digital modes had been added to this
event.
Interestingly enough, I found a frequency to call CQ and did for a few minutes
working a few RTTY stations, them a digital mode signal showed up nearly on top
of my frequency. I think to myself these things happen, so I wiggled around a
bit to give and get some room, but within a minute or two the digital signal
moved back on top of me. Maybe they were trying to work me and I didn't even
know it. Darn! I don't know if some of those guys were working stations (it
didn't seem that way on the waterfall) maybe just QRMing me!
After 26+ years of RTTY the shine on RTTY is not as great as it once was! I
guess I just can't or don't want to keep up with the state of the art in RTTY
contesting, so perhaps I just need to get out of the way. hi
Anyway, I thought the two bands that I operated were OK. Signals were good, but
activity seemed down a good bit. Actually, I wasn't to motivated to make it back
and try later.

Anyway, thanks for the QSOs and QRM!
