Grown men still weep when they EZNEC model my antenna on 160. But even with what
I have, I still heard many, many more than I worked. On the other hand, no
antenna is completely useless — they can always serve as a bad example. (And,
of course, on the other hand you have different fingers.) So, again, why am I
contesting on 160 using a non-resonant vertical and without RX antenna? Simple:
because contesting is not a matter of life or death. It's much more important
than that...
