Comments:
Looking at the scores, I think I was operating on different planet.
Lost HEX beam the day B4 contest so limited to end fed long wire out balcony
window. Agreement w/condo association limits to nighttime operations so had to
wait until dusk to deploy Spiderbeam pole out window with 39m of #18 wire. It
works well on the low bands (80=106 DXCC and 40=162 DXCC), however last night
was very noisy and a lot of QSB. Many signals in the noise (S4/5) or just
slightly above during peaks in QSB. A few short runs then signals were in the
mud.
Peave: Why do guys send at 35wpm+ after being asked for their call sign numerous
times? EX: N#?Z was asked several times for missing 3rd letter....QSB and noise
made last two letters run together...and both stations' rate drop...
Still fun to operate and enjoyed QSOs with many familiar call signs...look fwd
to next cw test.
