Elecraft K-1 at 5 watts to two wire antennas: 75' dipole up about 40', and a
66' inverted VEE with the apex at about 35' up, both fed with window line and a
Johnson Matchbox tuner. Alligator clips did the switching duty. Ran on a 16
amp-hour battery with no problems. Weak bands on Saturday, but good signals and
a surprise 15 meter opening turned up the fun on Sunday! Forecasted
thunderstorms never materialized here, again a surprise in the direction of fun.
