Comments:
Nowadays, I am only active during contests as my homeQTH station has been
brought down since mid last year. AT3A is around 300Km west of Bangalore and
gives me a reason to visit this place once in few months.
This time, I had Hexbeam height raised by around 10feet to a level of
approximately 42 feet. This did improve signals a bit. However, electrical noise
during day time prevented me from listening comfortably.
My vertical antenna for 40mtr also did not help me in getting much needed QSOs
run. I will have to re-position it to some other higher elevation.
23Zulu to 1Zulu hours were very most productive towards NA and my most of 40mter
QSOs came during that time. First day, seemed much better with lot of signals,
however, Sunday was not so encouraging. I did not work a single station from SA.
I heard YW1K briefly, but not many other regular PY and LU stations. ZF1A, TI7W,
PJ4G,KP2M, WP2Z, VP5M are some good catch for me along with bunch of NA big gun
stations.
Considering that I was only operating 100W peak, it was good contest overall.
