Comments:
In years past I always did cw only but have recently been doing mixed mode in
the QP's. It sure was disappointing in this one though and as it turns out if I
did go cw only it looks like I might have been top dog, at least on 3830. I
seriously thought about changing the category after the first few hours seeing
how dismal ssb was but decided against doing that. Glad to see my friend Ed,
W5TM, at the top.
Thanks to the hard work done by the mobiles that made activity in this contest a
lot of fun. My Q's per station of the mobiles: K4OJ-57 AD4ES-49 AD4EB-48
N4TO-47 K4KG-31 N4CW-30 N4FP-27 K8MR-22 KN4Y-17 KU8E-12 N4DAB-8 K2CIB-7.
I thought condx to FL would be better from my QTH but there were some rough
spots at times. I missed maybe 2 Q's on Sunday late when I just couldn't be
heard.
Still not happy I wound up going mixed. 83 Q's just doesn't seem worth it.
Will have to think hard next year if I go mixed again. Tnx to all the FL
stations who made this FQP possible, especially the rovers.
