Comments:
First time we ever finished with the EXACT number of Qs as the previous year
however the mults were down by 50.
Propagation: Pleasant surprise was a good opening on 15 meters on Sunday and a
good burst to EU on Sunday AM on 20. Worst was the very poor conditions to EU on
40 meters. A real struggle to hear and/or work EU on 40. This is where we came
up short with multipliers from last year. One malfunction, a coax jumper to the
outside 6 PAK failed Saturday AM, so we lost about 2 hours with one rig. We are
trying to understand where the sending of a report without establishing contact,
makes any sense. It certainly does not "shorten" the exchange time.
Equipment: 2 IC 7600, 2 Alpha 91b, Computers linked with WL 12.36. 80
mtrs-Dipole, 40 mtrs 2 element beam at 90' 20-10 mtrs.: STEPPIR at 50 ft.
Tribander at 90 ft. and Tribander on JA at 45 ft.
We miss 10 meters and actually monitored 10 with no signals detected during the
entire contest. Lets hope this year was the bottom and conditions will begin to
improve next year.
Thanks for all the Qs and the patience with repeats.
