Comments:
Bands were in rough shape most of the day, lot of QSB on 15, 20, and 40 meters.
20 & 15 were mostly open to the mid west and California all day. I tried
doing S&P but that was very slow going due to QSB and pileups. Decided to
run which turned out to be the better choice in order to keep the rate per hour
up. Took my two hours off early in the game so that I could operate until 1 AM
and glad that I did. Ran stations on 40 & 80 most of the evening, best rate
was 110.7 Q's per hour on 7.221. I was a little disappointed that the noise
level was so high on 160, only made 18 Q's. Worked fellow Swamp Fox WN4AFP on 80
meters, Dave was 5X9 at my QTH.
