Comments:
During the contest I spent four hours rebuilding my micro-cable interface (FSK,
PTT2 and CW mini-coax cables all broken in the DC-37); and, two hours rebuilding
and re-erecting my OCF 80-m dipole. Fortunately, the weather was 54° and sunny
while I was outside (Clarkston is the warmest, driest place in Washington).
Easily, I could have doubled my operating time if not for failures! Once
repaired, everything worked great. Contests make you get your station in shape!
I enjoyed working VE5MX on 80-m during the daylight with 2 minutes to go, for
the SK multiplier. Let's get more "locals" on 80-m before sunset!
