Comments:
Field-Day style operation in the Jemez mountains, with a 40-20 fan dipole on a
pushup mast mounted in a trailer hitch gizmo that NN5K fabricated. It was a
frigid 13 degrees when I arrived at the site an hour before the contest started
(elevation about 8100 feet, I think), but it warmed up enough by noon that I was
able to shed a couple layers of clothes. Setup and teardown each took about an
hour, the drive was about 90 minutes each way, and the contest was 12 hours, so
it was a long day, but it's almost always fun to operate in the wild.
Used an Elecraft K2 that originally belonged to Paul, WF5T, who became a Silent
Key recently.
  73,
     Bruce AA5B
