Comments:
Lots of preparation went into this one.
Worked on the antennas and did some work on the contest QTH shack.
Band were in reasonable shape, a mass of activity as expected.
Very disappointed with 15. Although it was open nicely on both days, i had a
huge noise level that made hearing everyone. No matter what i checked i could
not find the source of the noise.
It was nice to be able to CQ and run, managed to get a few decent rate hours on
both 80 and 20.
40 seemed somewhat more difficult.
10 was non existent here when i checked throughout the day.
Didnt hear any pacific or even JA. Somewhat strange.
Being unassisted was difficult, was sometimes a nightmare to find new mults or
be heard through piles with the QRP.
160m Vertical just didnt want to work, it needs looked at, Hence only the 1q
there!
But otherwise it was an enjoyable weekend, except the fact we had temps down to
-8c during the first and second nights. Snow on the ground for the first day.
Will continue to make some additions to antennas and make things better for the
contests in 2018.
Thanks to everyone who picked out the QRP sigs and the guys that had the
patience to get the call correct.
