Comments:
Did not operate at all the first night due to bad storms near, and then in the
area all night. Operated a little over 9 hours the second night, packed back up
and headed home (contest QTH about 1/2 from my home)at about 8:00z Sunday.
Looking back now, I wish I had stayed on all night as I had a decent score
going. Definitely more into CW contesting than SSB.
Earlier in the evening, I could still hear a lot of storm QRM to the NE on my
EU beverage due to the storms they had (same ones that passed through here
Friday night) so apologies to anyone I may have missed. Other directions were
pretty quiet so worked what I could hear. Had nice propagation into EU most of
the night starting right at my sunset, with small "runs" coming in
waves throughout. Didn't really notice a EU sunrise peak at all. Overall,
seemed to be decent conditions from here.
FTDX3000 with Alpha 89
Inverted L with 120ft vertical, who knows how many radials.
1.5 w/l beverages to EU, NW, and SW. 1 w/l beverages SE and W.
Thanks to all for the Q's and see you next weekend in the ARRL dx ssb!
