Comments:
First time actually having fun in a phone contest, rates were crazy good at
times even with low power and wire antennas. Did very little S&P, most of
the Q's were by way of running. Only had a few hours to kill after the ARRL
Convention in Boxboro, MA. Good thing I live just a couple of towns over, got
home soon enough. The funny thing was that I went into the shack to install
PL-259s on the new coax I just got, I figured just turn the radio on to listen
as a background noise. Boy was I wrong... soon I find myself hooking up the
microphone, and the rest is history. Had a lot of fun! Thanks to all the
great operators out there.
