Comments:
QRP operation in Andover, Mass at 130' ASL. Weather was mostly sunny, humid, and
around 75F.
- Yaesu FT-817ND
- 12V gel-cell batteries
- 1/2 λ 6m aluminum dipole, homemade
- Elk 2M/440L5 portable log periodic antenna
Sick with a cold, so no outdoor hilltop DXpedition. Portable QRP kit at home
with antennas mounted on the deck.
No band enhancements. Flea power QSOs with locals and contest regulars, however
many on at least two bands and in most neighboring squares. Thanks for the
patience. This worked out to be an usually high score for an indoor QRP effort
with no band enhancements. Being stuck at home I worked both days of the
contest and used computer logging instead of pen and paper.
73, Alexander N1PRW
