Comments:
FT1000MP, Alpha 78, 1 KW, TH6DXX, zepp, tee vertical. No signals on 15M at
start. 20M only fair. Got off to slow start while trying to get beam to
rotate. Made some 20M QSOs on the zepp until I figured out the Jones plug on
the back of the rotor control box wasn't firmly seated. After that, the beam
would rotate OK, but the band was getting weak. 40M was a lot of fun at the
start, but I ran out of people to QSO too soon 80M was OK with some good
signlas from the west coast, but a lot of QRN. Did work F5IN on 80 160M was
sort of a mystery. Couldn't get the antenna tuner to go below 2.0 to one, but
I was able to work everyone I heard, so it seemed I was getting out OK. Thanks
for all QSOs. Looking forward to better conditions in the two segments
