Comments:
Because of an inner ear problem that has me about 90% deaf in my left ear and
around 50% deaf in my right ear, I had problems discerning the RTTY tones and
had to depend on my on-screen tuner. The time I could comfortably work was
limited as well. Hopefully the loss of hearing and titinitus are temporary.
After about 1/2 hour I switched from S&P to RUN and never looked back. I
was surprised that I could hold a frequency as well as I did.
On the plus side - I've been out of work since the middle of May and am finally
starting a new job tomorrow (January 4th). I'll be working as the Senior
Principal Systems Engineer for small (under 80 lb) Navy UAVs on Pax River.
Really happy to be a productive member of society again.
