Comments:
What on this Earth happened to 40 meters???? Good night, Gussie...that was a
mess at my place. Thanks to all who battled the deep QSB and weird flutter,
etc., to pull out my call sign. You deserve the 'Golden Ears' award; whereas,
I'll just get the 'Olden Ears' award. Ha!
And, 80 meters had so much noise that I noticed several who began running just
turned to S and P to avoid the horrific noise. It was 10 over here at my
place. Mercy!
Thanks to all the non-members who came around, although I didn't hear any CWA
members. Frank, NF8M in MI; Ken, KK6QHA in CA; Joe, W8JPF in OH; John, N8UM in
TN; and my very dear long-time friend, Mike Duke, K5XU here in Mississippi. I
want to ask Claude to add Mike to the Call History File, because he will try to
join us on the evening runs during the Standard Time slot.
Mike, K5XU, is a wonderful young man who is the head of the Radio Reader
Service of Mississippi, a portion of MS Public Broadcasting. Mike is also
active in the national organization of blind hams. Y'all will love getting to
know this top-notch CW operator.
73 to all until next week,
--Dr. Larry S. Anderson, WB5EIN #1327
