Comments:
This is one of my favorite contests. I was shooting for 900 Q's. I need to work
on getting my rate up on Saturday evening. Spent 4 more hours in the chair this
year for a full effort. Band conditions seemed pretty good despite the
geomagnetic activity we had early in the contest. Stayed on the air for the
first 11 hours straight. Then slept for 3 hours. Got back on the air at 6:30
AM local time. Took first break at 11 AM local Sunday morning. Then took five
30 minute breaks every hour until 3:30 PM local. Then took 30 minute dinner
break at 6PM local. Back on the air from 6:30 to 10 PM local. This seemed to
be a pretty good operating schedule. Spent most of the time S&P with some
small runs on 20, 40 and 80 meters. Could barely hear the NT station on 15
meters late Sunday afternoon. No issues with computer or rig. K3/100 with
wire antennas.
