Comments:
Wow! I don't do SSB contests and if at all, usually restrict myself to working
new band counters. I intended to do the same when my planned weekend travel got
cancelled. The beam is still not up so i strung up a simple dipole for 10 and
see what i could hear. Spent time tuning around on Saturday and Sunday evenings
and was pleasantly surprised. I could hear activity all the way up to 28800 on
both days!
Sunday evening was wild. N2NT was 20 over 9 and those who matched him in
strength were the neighbourhood M/M powerhouses - A73A, 9K2HN etc. I believe i
did surprise a few NA when i called them. NQ4I comes to mind immediately. Some
good mults from the Caribbean with really good ears who heard my 100w, most
notably V47T (took only 2 calls).
Thanks for the QSOs. Unlike all the Checklogs i have submitted this year, this
one is SOAB (A) LP to get some points for our fledgling VU Contest Group :)
See you in November!
