Much QSB and noise on 20, 40, and 80, but I managed to beat my last year's score
by a fair margin due to having a reasonable antenna for 80 and 40 this year, a
ZS6BKW dipole, fed with ladder line, up about 35 feet. My 20 meter two-element
quad at 40+ feet rounded out the antenna complement. I checked out 15
occasionally, but never heard a peep.
I even had several nice runs on each of the bands, which helped goose my QSO
totals. Only took one break mid-afternoon, so finished up at 115am EDT. 80
was starting to get sparse by that time, as others dropped off the band.
