Comments:
An interesting weekend from hot West Texas.
The story:
Saturday 1800Z - 2235Z = 285 QSO's 4's 8's 9's 0's & good groundwave
all over 5-land to the east
Then almost an hour of zip.
Saturday 2329Z - 0415Z = 29 QSO's - scattered all over the country
0430Z - 1145Z = Sleep
Sunday 1200Z - 2100Z = 9 QSO's + 4 trillion CQ's. Band kept teasing
me, but never a good opening and NO rate - last QSO was at 1743Z - after that
many many CQ's until 2100Z. Only bursts heard.
Laser propagation to some areas - especially Saturday night. One station in a
populous grid would be loud for a long time - and no other sigs heard.
Congrats to W5PR - the old man did it!
287 SSB QSO's and 36 CW QSO's
Rig: Elecraft K3 with voice keyer (thank God) + SPE Expert 2K-FA Amp 1500W
Antenna: M2 6M5X with half a reflector (ice damage)at 55'
N1MM+ logging software
Thanks to all for the QSO's & 73,
--Gator
