Comments:
Wow - close! About 5 Q's or 2 mults separating NR3X(N4YDU) and me... but there
may be bigger scores yet to be posted. Conditions were certainly a
disappointment especially the first part of the contest. Things did seem to
some improve by late Saturday but not soon enough to help 15 (or 10) meters
much. After 12 hours I thought there was no way I would make 1 meg but things
came together Sunday morning with a nice JA run on 40 and several unexpected
mults. Probably should have spent a little more time on phone - still not used
to these mixed mode contests and my comfort zone is on CW.
Almost exactly half my Q's were with USA stations. Just 69 Europeans on 15.
Only Japanese contact on 15 was with the headquarters station.
