Another "Boy and his Wire Adventure" from my Wyoming Apartment QTH! I
can't remember experiencing band conditions this lousy during a IARU Contest.
Zero JA "runs", high QRN, and bad QSB at times, and nary a contact on
Ten or Eighty Meters. A beam and rotator would have been most welcome-Hi-Hi! A
few drive by's who were clueless regarding the ITU Zone portion of the
exchange..."Well I'm not really in the contest...."
Kenwood TS-950SD,Heil ProSet with HC-5 mic. element, and a home brewed G5RV up
50 feet, running N-S at 6,053 feet elevation from Cheyenne, Wyoming in Laramie
County. Thanks to all that worked me.
