Comments:
FT1000MP, 100W, TH6DXX, dipole, zepp, tee vertical. 20M was practically dead at
the beginning except for a weak W1AW/KH8 on 14040 QSX up one. I was afraid our
sprint would QRM them, but we were very good at leaving them alone and
operating higher in the band. West coast stations were weak. N3QE with his
hand key was very strong (thanks for three bands, Tim). 40M was very good all
over except for W4OC who always had a stronger caller when I called. Got VE3YT
at last when he called me. 80 and 160M were quiet with good signals. Worked
WA6URY on 80 for my first CA in NS this fall I think. This is about as good a
score as I can make without returning to my SO2R set up. This reflects very
good activity level. Let's keep it up guys! Nice to hear DAN WA on his
collector's item hand key. Good luck to all in ARRL SS Phone this weekend.
73, John, K4BAI.
