Comments:
For the first time in a phone contest I pushed harder with using the second
radio and that made me work harder than usual. A good SO2R operator would
probably end up with at least 500 mults, but considering that I had 50 mults
more than last year - looks like a move in the right direction.
I got a cold on Friday and entered the contest tired. Hope that was the main
reason for being sloppy at times with pile-up handling.
Strong static throughout the second night on 160, 80 and 40. It seems that
Europeans could hear better on 160 Saturday evening, but the noise was not
helping me to work more countries. On Sunday while running on 20, a German
station told me that he was surprised that I couldn't hear him on 40.
I am looking forward to the CW test in four weeks. Thanks for all the fun.
