Comments:
Always fun even though 6m never opened in the northeast. A far cry from last
year (as we were blessed with the surprising EU opening late Sunday
afternoon).
Activity in the area has diminished greatly since the influx of Tech's about 20
years ago (as everywhere I guess). The lack of CW prowess is also unnerving.
I find it hard to get stations to beam my way (in FN23), granted, it's not a
hotbed of activity but I've taken the time to get the bottom 4 up and if
"pointing my way" there is a good chance we'll work.
Did manage to run "all 4" in a few minutes several times, some great
ops still out there.
Greatly appreciated are all the rovers, give us something to look forward to
(though I missed several "no brainers" along the way).
We'll be on in the CQWW VHF contest as well as September, hope you will as
well.
