Comments:
Thanks to Tim for allowing me to operate a summer contest from his fabulous
station.
I was really looking forward to the over the pole openings, but the proton
flare/CME 3 days before the contest meant it was not meant to be.
The first 36 hours of the weekend were a real grind. When the bands are so
disturbed you do get to observe some odd propagation. I'd say the most
interesting thing this weekend was a few of the big gun JAs coming in long path
from 10-12Z Sunday morning. They were the only loud signals on the bans besides
some ESP Europeans on scatter.
The band was finally coming around the last 4 hours of the contest. Nice to
finish up with EU and JA real loud at the same time.
