Comments:
Great condx both nights...lotsa 10 pointers answering my CQs in the nosebleed
part of the band. Antenna was the remains of the t-vertical that got "topped"
by Hurricane Sandy and "klug'ed" to work with some base linear loading + coil +
tuner. Will be spring-time project to get it back up to snuff. Only complaint:
1830 - 1835 is usually a good spot to find weak EUs...but big time statesiders
camped out there. Is this not still an operational DX window? Or is this now
kaput? Biggest surprise was working Hawaii Sunday at SR in a horrendous pileup
with LP while the amp was acting up. Musta been the RI multiplier advantage.
CQ WW Top Band SSB coming up next month. 73!
