QTH at fresh water lake 700 masl. Both days the field day style antennas took a
beating from gale wind and sleet in the air. At startup Sunday morning the 2 el
stepper-style beam had become out of sync (SWR 4:1) so had to rely on wire GPs
and dipoles the remaining time.
Appreciated a couple of good runs, but for some reason 10m will not 'open' at
my end. At times there obviously was lots of traffic, but could hardly hear
it.
Felt the need for a good night's sleep, and am therefore happy to see a new
personal best in terms of QSOs made.
