Comments:
Pretty much a high bands contest effort this year from here. Made only a few
contacts on 40/80m after local midnite here. Took a long break watching MLB
playoff baseball Sat eve.
Started the 1st full hour of the contest Saturday on 10m with nice opening
there. But 15m was particularly good all weekend, especially the 1st day. Per
comments on 15m SSB many LP stns were really enjoying the great propagation!
20m sigs peaked nicely closer to our local sunset.
Three counties missed: Butte, Del Norte and Shasta... never heard them.
Through Day 1 had 52 of 58 mults. MONT and STAN were worked fairly late on
Sunday. Then SIER (WU6X) was found on CW with just over 30 mins left.
Worked the roving K6AQL 8 times...tougher to find on a new band without
internet!
No use of spotting network here as did not want to be classified as M/S LP.
All S&P effort. Many thanks to those activating the rarer counties...CQP
activity certainly seemed strong this year.
