Comments:
First time ever doing SO2R. Did it all manually, 2 radios, 2 computers, 2
keyboard, 2 mouse, etc. Made a y-cord for an old Sony Walkman headset and had
the left raio in the left ear and the right raio in the right ear. For
antennas, all manually switching. For band changes, unscrew the coax from the
antenna and stub and then put all back together for the new band. Made a chart
to tell me which stub to use when. Maybe the next time I will get some coax
switches. Would make life easier.
Equipment was:
Run station--Icom 746 and Force 12 C4SXL at 60 feet.
S+P station--Icom 706 MkII and Hygain Hytower vertical
Lots of fun and using 2 computers kept the mind busy all the time.
