Thanks to Bill, VE3MMQ (aka W4TAA) for hosting a casual 2-band Sprint effort.
Bill had a bad lightning strike a week or two back, so the Stepp-IR @ 72' was
fixed somewhere SW and the 40M 4-square was not really a 4-square. Felt like
the FQP with the hand-logging and hand-sending. Bill's IC-7600 and Alpha 99
worked just fine.
Ran out of folks to work in the last hour - 26 Qs all on 40M. Heard N5DX in AR
and thought I could reel him in. Only other mult heard and missed was K1IMI in
ME. Missed: ME-VT-RI-VA!-KY-AR-NV-ID-ND and all VEs except 3 and 6.
Kind of challenging to keep the dupe sheet in the head, so perhaps there is a
dupe or three in there.
Enjoyed the different propagation experience. The NS events sure have groomed
a lot of guys to do well in the Sprints.
73, Dan, K1TO/VE3
