Comments:
Q's were down slightly from last year, but mults were up significantly. Score
was up over 30%, so can't complain.
Even at only 40 feet up, the 6 element 20 meter OWA worked well into Europe.
Everyone in its beamwidth was loud and easy to copy, but it is currently bolted
down and not moveable, so once propagation shifted, it became a liability. 15
meter was also locked down to EU, and it to worked well, when propagation
favored NE. Hope to have them, and their twins all up and rotating for contest
season this fall.
80 and 160 dipoles are still flat top, and K9AY loop is down, so low bands
weren't very productive. Sunday AM, the noise on 80 and 160 went to >20db over
S-9. Not sure if that was the solar flare or something else. I should have
taken time to repair the K9AY!
Overall, it was a fun contest. See you in the next one.
73,
Mark, K5ER
