Comments:
I problem with the amp T/R relay slowed things down Friday night so I figured i
would get a good nights sleep and fix things in the AM.
Conditions for EU were fair Saturday night but noticed less EU activity than
last year. Plasma TV noise levels were higher which made some S&P contact
difficult. Choosing a run frequency to avoid this man made noise was necessary.
If you haven't experienced it be forewarned. My neighbors are hundreds of feet
distant.
Missed states included NE, although I tried for 20 minutes an hour after my
sunrise to work K0HA's strong signal to no avail. LA was not heard and ID was
copied briefly working someone else. Seven VE provinces were missed.
My antennas consist of an 80 foot 450 ohm line T vertical with minimal radials
and two 540 foot beverages NE (EU) and NNW (JA).
John, W1AN
