Comments:
As others have already said 40 meters was the money band although I did not get
on 40 it was busy at K8DV's all day. W9VNE, K4ZLE and AA8MC kept 40 going all
through the contest.
AA4ZU, AA8HH AND I (K8DV) kept the fires burning on 20 and 80. We managed to
work 47 states counting Ohio, 84 Ohio Counties (did not work anyone in our own
county - Clermont) and 6 Canadian provinces.
Used Icom 756 Pro III's on 20 and 80 and Yaesu FT-990 on 40 with about 500
watts at each station. Had one computer logging glitch on the 80 meter station
mid day but was able to get it resolved with almost no time lost.
It was nice to hear all the SWODXA members on, not sure how many we put in the
log but I know when I was operating I worked several. Thanks Kenny K2KW for
helping us get the club fired up for the club competition and by all accounts
so far SWODXA should easily break the previous club record.
A special thanks goes out to Jim W9VNE, Jay K4ZLE, Steve AA8HH, Casey AA8MC and
Dave AA4ZU for helping us man the station and by all accounts it was a big
success.
See you in the pile ups!
73,
Dave, K8DV
