I thought it would be interesting to compare the summer noise here in the
Northern Hemisphere to the last 5 Stew Perry contests that were done in the
Southern Hemisphere as CE1/K7CA. There was actually about 10dB lower noise
here so you can imagine what it sounds like down south in December. However,
there weren't many stations QRV or it could have been much more fun. I only
operated about 3 hours according to N1MM and decided not to get up for JA at my
sunrise because they were probably all in the Asia contest anyway. Maybe this
summer contest will be like the original SP contest where participation picked
up a lot over the years following its inception. 73, Al K7CA
