Comments:
Got on 20+ minutes late and then struggled with my SO2R box that wouldn't swutch
radios at first. An hour into the contest the VOX function on my 6 meter rig
stopped functioning altogeter so i spent almost an hour fixing this issue. I
finally rebooted everything and started over. Everything was ok with the Vox
but still no SO2R. Finally about 5 hours into the contest after trying several
new settings ...KABAMB!!---everything started working as it should!
The BAD(/GOOD) news is that for much of the rest of the contest the rate on 6
was so high I couldn't use SO2R anyway!
In spite of these little learning curve setbacks (my first real foray into VHF
contesting), I had a great time (especially on the majic band).
I'm definitely hooked!
George, NR5M
