First, Congrats to Ty NO3M on breaking 3,000 Points!
Second, What great fun to have lots of activity and contacts
on all four bands!
I hadn't done NS from the W6YX station since December?
So it was a challenge to figure out the new switches, different
configuration, get a log going and be ready to "squeek."
(That's short for "Pip-squeek" which is what QRP sometimes
feels like.)
I was only single radio, and out of practice, since I missed last
week for Visalia DX Convention, and the two weeks before that for
family visitors, and the week before that ...
20m was going full-speed when I arrived 20 seconds late (a
long time in an NS). Still I managed 13 QSOs in 10 minutes and
the propagation fantastically provided 11 Multipliers!
40m was LOUD and CROWD when I got there to work 17 QSOs
in 13 minutes and another 9 Multipliers. Note to Pip-squeek: Get to
40m earlier!
I bravely went to 80m and managed a FULL-SQUEEK:
6 QSOs and 3 Multipliers in 5 Minutes!
Yes, there was still a minute for 160m, and I got 2 x 1!
I love my LOCAL OPS!
So, I ended with the 1K line in sight. With more practice, I'll
probably do worse :-)
Sorry I didn't post my score last night, but the internet was
down at the W6YX shack, and a half-hour of poking didn't
fix it, so I just drove home and went to sleep.
