Comments:
I had to stay at home this year so operated from Lincolnshire with an A3S at 60
feet and 40m and 80m dipoles at about 75 feet. There were very strange
conditions on Saturday. It sounded like the participants were sending CW with
their mouths full! It was disappointing that the higher bands were disrupted by
an incoming solar flare â?" the ups and downs of better sunspot activity. There
were some great signals from the Caribbean and Africa but also from the Far
East and India. When the propagation was there, the signals were excellent.
Thanks to all those who travelled to, or participated from home in those
wonderful pink coloured countries â?" at least Commonwealth countries are
mostly pink on my map of the world! I am not sure how much point there is in
running from the UK but I probably missed a few contacts as I spent the
majority of the time S&P.
Didn't get much sleep before the contest due to a neighbour threatening me
about a planning application - see http://www.theddlethorpe.org.uk/planning.htm
if you are able to submit a message of support - doesn't matter where you live,
thanks. 73
